Per an event post by the Cambridge Health Alliance, next week marks the return of the area farmers' markets for the summer. Here are the details for the two that serve C-Port (and thanks to neighbor Carolyn Shipley for a map of all the Cambridge Farmers Markets):
Cambridgeport Farmers' Market
Morse School parking lot
Magazine Street & Memorial Drive
Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (June 6 - October 24)
Cambridge Central Square Farmers' Market
Bishop Allen by Norfolk Street
Mondays, 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. (June 1 - November 23)
Friday, May 29, 2009
Welcome!
In the coming weeks, this space will begin to populate with news, notices, topics and images from around our neighborhood.
This blog will:
- Expand and enhance the C-Port Neighborhood Association's efforts at communicating and organizing around issues and events that impact our community;
- Serve as a clearinghouse for links connecting the neighborhood to resources and opportunities;
- Clarify, hopefully, issues of concern in the neighborhood (e.g. 'what's up with Ft. Washington Park?');
- Serve as an outlet for neighbors interested in sharing the history of the place and the people who have lived and worked here.
This blog will not have an axe to grind with any particular issue, official or institution, nor will it cover every issue, every day. I have a day job.
I am interested in others who would like to contribute histories, photos, notices or any other items of interest to our fellow neighbors!
